Delphis Eco Capital Clean Up: Friday 25th October

The Delphis Eco Capital Clean Up collected: 37 full rubbish bags, 6 severed bike locks, 5 broom sticks, 3 mobile phones, 3 wallets, 2 pairs of shoes and 1 car bumper. All of which were retrieved from the bushes alongside Smugglers Way, Wandsworth. We organised the day in partnership with Wandsworth Council and other local businesses, including Holiday Inn Express, McDonalds, B & Q, Virgin Active, Edible Food Design and HIV charity Oasis, in order to help tidy up our local environment through this Mayor of London scheme. In total we had 30 volunteers which was a truly fantastic turnout with all participants fully committed to the cause. Such was the success of the event that many of the people who took part have already expressed an interest in participating in our community projects in the future. We really hope to continue the Delphis Eco Capital Clean Up and to create a legacy that aims to embed tidiness and an awareness of the consequences of people’s actions into everyday life. Let’s Keep Britain Tidy.
